Correct Measurement of Hubcap Bottom Recess

Based on the hubcap diameter, measure the recess depth on the wheel disc. Common hubcap bottom recesses are: 10 mm, 12 mm, 15 mm, 18 mm, 20 mm, or flat bottom.

    Instructions

  1. Take a straight metal rod and shorten it to match the diameter of your desired hubcap.

  2. Place the rod evenly across the disc.

  3. Measure the recess using a caliper.

  4. Subtract the rod’s diameter from the measured depth – the result is the depth of the hubcap bottom recess.
